Biography

Mr Moses Makungu is a Lecturer in the Department of Development Studies at the University of Zambia. He is a Development Studies scholar with over nine years of experience in academic tutoring and more than five years of university-level teaching, with expertise in higher education teaching, research, academic supervision, curriculum development, and assessment. He holds a Master of Arts in Development Studies and a Bachelor of Arts in Development Studies with Merit, with a minor in Public Administration, from the University of Zambia, as well as a Postgraduate Diploma in Teaching Methodology from the National Institute of Public Administration. His research interests include governance and public policy, peace and conflict studies, socio-economic development, refugee and migration studies, aid effectiveness and development financing, and environmental governance. His publications address contemporary development challenges including foreign aid dependency, refugee livelihoods, development aid and urban waste management, refugee policy, and climate resilience. Moses is committed to teaching excellence, evidence-based research and contributing to policy and development practice in Zambia and beyond.
