  • Bachelors Degree in Social Work – 2010 at University of Zambia, Lusaka

I am also research scholar with research interests and experience in Child Protection and Welfare, Social Policy, Social Protection, Social Planning and Administration, Sustainable Livelihoods, Gender and Development, Social Capital, Family and Community Social Capital. I have a firm background in designing training manuals regarding childcare and protection, alternative care, and case management.

PhD Thesis

I completed my PhD in December 2022 in Applied Social Sciences from City University of Hong Kong, Department of Social and Behavioral Sciences where I worked on a Thesis titled “an integrated social capital response to street child interventions in Zambia”. The study applied the social capital dimensions of bonding, bridging, and linking as a frame of analysis in understanding how factors at family, community, and government policy level contribute to the existence of street children.

  1. In November – December 2021 with Ackson Mwale bid and won a consultancy under PLAN international Zambia to “Examine the Existing Legal and Medical Framework Conditions that are Relevant to an Appropriate Response to End Child Marriages”. Area of concentration were the project districts of Mansa, Chembe and Chipili districts of Luapula province.

  2. Development of modules and conduction training of trainers (tot) for community development assistants, teaching staff & community health assistants, tutors in case management – Save the Children International

    In 2018, With Patrick Chanda and Mrs. Ireen Kabembo-Kangwa, bid and won a consultancy (worth K218,000) for Save the Children International (the Agency) to develop modules and conduct training of trainers (TOT) for Community Development Assistants (CDA) Teaching Staff & Community Health Assistants (CHA) Tutors in Case Management for Vulnerable Children, Adolescents and families affected by HIV and AIDS.
